Premier India Football Academy (PIFA) will be bringing UEFA/FA coaches for the 8th year in a row to India to conduct football training camps.
Coach James Qiunn & Coach Connor Hannah will be flying in from Manchester to conduct training similar to premiership academies in Europe. Both these licensed coaches from England will conduct training session for Premier India Football Academy (PIFA).
PIFA International camps will be held in Mumbai, Dehra Dun and Amritsar.
- · 27 October to 30 October at Karnataka Football Ground, Churchgate, Mumbai.
- · 3 November to 6 November at Unison World School, Dehradun.
- · 10 November to 13 November at University Ground, Amritsar.
The camps are open to boys & girls of all skill abilities, 10-18 years of age.
The camps are of four days duration. Each day is dedicated to one of the four basic techniques of football - Shooting, Dribbling, Passing & Control. Each technique will culminate in a skills test. Fitness test will be conducted like those conducted at Premiership academies, to make the children aware of the standards expected to play top flight football.
Over 1500 children have attended the 28 PIFA international camps held in the past 7 years. Camps have been held in Goa, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune & Delhi.
The camps have helped India U-16 Vice Captain Kunashni Parikh develop her game. Other India youth players Aryaman Sethi, Hussain Vahanvathy, Natasha Merchant have attended the PIFA International camps. PIFA guarantees improvement.
All the participants have performed well and helped their school to win matches. Some of the participants have been selected to play for "I" league U-15 team.
Nike will be the official football for the camp and the skill's contest winners get a gift set from Nike as well as get once a week free training at any one of the PIFA centres for one year. Talented players will be scouted for the various PIFA teams.
PIFA's efforts in India have been recognized by Asian Football Confederacy (AFC) Deputy General Secretary - Dato Paul Mony Samuel, An excerpt from the letter- "I thank you for your work for football in India and encourage you to support and follow the football development path set out in Vision India"
